Boker teamed with Prof. Bill Newman of Latosa Escrima, noted European Defensive Tactics instructors Frank B. Metzger and Joachim Friedrich, and Boker designer Dietmar Pohl. The result was a Tactical Folder designed to be applicable to both the Filipino Martial Arts as well as Defensive Tactics requirements.

Modifications to the knife include improved grip texturing and a pommel more suited to Punyo applications. The knife also works well as a closed impact weapon, due to the ergonomics and the fact that the blade fully nests in the handles.

The handle is perfectly machined of lightweight but tough 6061-T6 aluminum. The integrated liner locks the corrosion resistant dagger style blade of 440-C steel securely in the open position. The clip holds the knife in the tip down carrying method always in place until needed.
